Values and Ethos

Millbrook Primary School - Our Values and Ethos statement

As a School we aim to:

  • Provide a challenging, supportive and enthusiastic learning environment for all our children

  • Stimulate, nurture, and develop lively, enquiring minds in a safe and secure atmosphere

  • Encourage each child to aim for and to realise his/her fullest potential

  • Develop in pupils a sense of self-worth and the recognition of the rights and responsibilities of themselves and others

  • Foster the development of a school culture which places equal value on all its members, is seen to be fair and encourages truthfulness, self-discipline and mutual respect

  • Develop respect for and understanding of the ideas and beliefs of others, irrespective of gender, race, disability or sexuality

  • Offer a broad based outward-looking curriculum to help our children develop the knowledge and skills which will enable them to become active, confident and responsible members of a rapidly changing world

  • Foster close working relationships between the school, the home, the local community and the wider world
